Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using the Ptas Farms members portal (“the Service”), you (“the Member”) agree to the terms set forth in this Disclosure Agreement. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Information We Collect
To operate the Service and fulfill your orders, we collect:
- Account information — your name, farm or organization name, phone number, email address, and password (stored securely).
- Order information — products requested, quantities, pickup or delivery dates, delivery addresses, and any notes you provide.
- Communications — support cases and replies you submit through this portal or via email/phone.
- Usage data — basic technical information (browser, device type, timestamps) used to maintain and secure the Service.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely for legitimate Ptas Farms operations:
- Processing and fulfilling your orders, including coordinating pickup or delivery logistics.
- Responding to your support cases and providing husbandry guidance.
- Sending order status updates, delivery notifications, and (with your consent) seasonal stock availability.
- Improving our breeding programs, hatchery processes, and the Service itself based on aggregate, anonymized patterns.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share it only when strictly necessary:
- With logistics partners handling delivery — only the data needed to complete the delivery.
- With payment processors if/when we accept online payments — only transaction-relevant data.
- When required by Nigerian law, court order, or to protect our legal rights or safety of others.
All third parties we work with are bound by data-protection agreements at least as strict as this one.
Order Commitments
An order request submitted through the portal is a good-faith request, not a binding contract, until confirmed by a Ptas Farms breeder. Once we mark an order “Approved” or “Ready”:
- You commit to picking up or accepting delivery of the stock on the agreed date.
- If you cannot pick up on the agreed date, contact us at least 48 hours in advance to reschedule.
- Cancellations after a “Ready” status may incur a restocking fee of up to 20% of order value.
Animal Welfare
By purchasing from Ptas Farms, you commit to humane treatment of all stock you receive:
- Provide adequate housing, ventilation, feed, and water as recommended in our husbandry guides.
- Do not subject birds to cruel transport or handling conditions.
- Follow recommended biosecurity practices to prevent disease spread.
We reserve the right to refuse future service to members shown to violate animal welfare standards.
Liability & Warranty
We guarantee:
- Vaccination — all day-old chicks ship with their documented vaccination card.
- Vigour — fewer than 0.5% mortality during transit when our delivery service is used.
- Authenticity — pullets sold as ISA-Brown derive from documented ISA-Brown grandparent stock.
We do not guarantee specific lay rates, weight gain, or production outcomes after delivery, as these depend heavily on housing, feed, and management practices on the receiving farm.
Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your password.
- All activities that occur under your account.
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use.
We will never email or call you asking for your password. If you receive such a request, please report it to support@ptasfarms.com.
Changes to This Agreement
We may update this agreement from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the email address on your account at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that period constitutes acceptance of the revised agreement.
